Funeral for Birdie Braudaway Srygley, 83, of 424 Fifth Ave. SW, was to be today at 3:30 p.m. at Central Park Baptist Church with the Rev. E.T. Waddell officiating.
Burial was to be in Roselawn Cemetery with Shelton Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Srygley died Tuesday at her residence.
She is survived by her husband, Clyde Srygley; two sons, C.C. Braudaway of Decatur and Noah Gene Srygley of Sheffield; one daughter, Evelyn McLaughlin of Decatur; three brothers, the Rev. Riley Faires of Lyons, Ga; Con Faires of Corinth, Miss; and Tilman Faires of Chattanooga, Tenn; three sisters, Gertie Flake of Decatur, Maudie Hightower of Palmdale, Calif and Verlie Smith of Shreveport, La; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Deacons of Central Park Baptist Church were to be pallbearers.
