Funeral for Clyde H. Srygley, 89, of Decatur was to be today at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Craig Carlisle and the Rev. E. T. Waddell officiating.
Burial was to be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Srygley died Thursday, February 4, 1999, at Sunrise Health Care. He was born June 19, 1909 in Mississippi to Cora R. Srygley and James Troy Srygley. He was a charter member of Central Park Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. He also was a retired welder and a Mason.
He is survived by two sons, Noah Gene Srygley of Sheffield and C.C. Braudaway of Cullman; one daughter, Evelyn B. McLaughlin of Decatur; two sisters, Gladys Capooth of Winchester, Va, and Artice Jones of Ramer, Tenn; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Deacons of Central Park Baptist Church were to be pallbearers.
