Curtis Crews, 49 (b. 29 Mar 1952), of Hoboken died early Thursday, Jan 10, (2002), at his residence from an apparent heart attack.

He was of the Baptist faith and had worked for Varn Wood Products of Hoboken and was the son of the late Frank Julian Crews and Juanita Johns Crews of Hoboken.

Survivors are his wife, Sarah Frances Spikes Crews of Hoboken; four daughters, Lisa Gill (Joey) of Waycross, Cynthia Jewell (Dale) of Hoboken, Beth Spikes of Offerman and Kristy Crews of Hoboken; two sons, John Crews of Hoboken and Stacey Crews of Waverly, TN; four grandchildren, Dale, Dylan and Evelyn Jewell, and Kelsi Crews, all of Hoboken; three sisters, two brothers, several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Mr. Crews was taken to his residence in Hoboken at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, for visitation and remained there until the time of service. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, at the Hoboken City Cemetery, with the Rev. Earldene McCorvey officiating.

The pallbearers were Wilson O'Berry, Billy Crews, Anthony Spikes, Curtis Crews, John Curtis Crews and David Lee.

Chambless Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
