Christine Arritt Jordan, 86, of Burlington, North Carolina passed away Thursday, January 29, 2004 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina after a number of years of illness. She was born in Alleghany County, Va. On April 18, 1917 a daughter of the late Harry Arthur and Rebecca Helms Arritt. She was a retired salesperson at Belk-Beck Department Store in Burlington, N.C. She was a member of the Hope Baptist Church of Haw River, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband James Edward Jordan, Sr.
She is survived by a son, James Edward Jordan, Jr. Of Burlington, N.C.; a sister Margaret McNeil of Naples, Florida; a brother Gordon Arritt of Covington; and a number of nieces and nephews.
