Mr. Humphries was born in Mason County on Sept. 18, 1951, to the late Orville C. and Mary Lena Schumate Humphries.
He was a devoted employee of Browning EPT, Maysville where he worked for 25 years and a Vietnam era veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Humphries is survived by his wife, Dorotheia Carrington Malone-Humphries; a special step-son, Larry Malone of Tulsa, Okla; a son, Christopher; a daughter, Melinda; and a sister, Mary Humphries Formosa of Leland, N.C.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Humphries; and his brother, Eugene Humphries.
Burial with military honors by Maysville VFW post 2734, will be in the Washington Baptist Cemetery
