Mrs. Beatrice C. Clark, 70, of Fairfield, died Monday, August 18, in a Staunton hospital. She was the wife of Walter Lee Clark. She was born May 21, 1899 in Rockbridge County, the daughter of the late William Henry and Nancy P. Clarke. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Wade of Hampton and Mrs. Alice Patterson of Fairfield; two sisters, Miss Rebecca Clark of Lexington and Mrs. Vernie Ramsey of Waynesboro; four brothers, Milton H. Clark of Amherst, Jacob Y. Clark of Ogden, Utah, Daniel M. Clark of New Castle, Pennsylvania and Lilburn D. Clark of Fairfield; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held at the McCutchen Presbyterian Church in Buena Vista with the Rev. James E. Jackson Jr. officiating.
