Mrs. Hobson, Ex-Teacher, Dies at 90
Mrs. Alma Monroe Hobson, 90, Mount Hope, former Wichitan and music instructor, died Monday.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Hope Methodist Church.
She was born in Illinois and had lived in Wichita 41 years. She moved to Mount Hope in 1961. She taught piano at the former Wichita College of Music, Three Arts Conservatory and the downtown music schools of Wichita State and Friends universities.
She attended Southwestern College, Winfield, and Boston Conservatory of Music.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Eunice Dow, Mount Hope, and Mrs. Eleanore Se-van(sic - should be Swan), Goddard.
A memorial has been established with Mount Hope Methodist Church.
