Married first wife Mary Severn Mar 15, 1810. Child: William Canaday. She died in 1821. Married second wife Frances Severn Langdon (first wife Mary's sister) on Oct 15, 1825. Children: Frances, Julia, Isaiah, Susan. His stepson (Frances' son) is Rev. William I Langdon.
