Mrs. FANNIE BURT
Funeral services for Mrs. FANNIE BURT of Brushy Mound community were held Saturday, September 6 in the home of Mr. and Mrs. BOB GREGG, with Rev. T. V. TEKEL officiating. Mrs. Burt was born March 1, 1862 in Fannin County, Texas and passed away September 5 after a short illness. Mrs. Burt, whose maiden name was FANNIE BAILY, was married in 1878 to TOM BURT and to this union were born 16 children. She was preceded in death by her husband and 7 children. Surviving relatives are 4 daughters and 5 sons, HENRY BURT of Gore, GEORGE BURT of Anadarko, JOHN BURT of Wichita Falls, JACK HURT of Plains, Texas; JIM BURT of Tokio, Texas; SUSIE HORN of Orr, STELLA WEST of Coolidge, Arizona; JESSIE GREGG of Orr, and LOTTIE GILCREASE of Oklahoma City, 39 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Burt became a member of the Free Will Baptist Church at age of 14. Interment, directed by the Bettes Funeral Home, was in Crow cemetery. Pallbearers were her grandsons.
