Annie Eva Suess was born in Baden, Germany, August 27, 1851, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ross Myers, near Brunswick, April 5, 1932, after an illness of several months. When she was three years old, her parents imigrated to the U. S. with their eight children, the voyage across the Atlantic requiring-six months. Landing at New Orleans, the journey was continued up the Mississippi River to St. Louis, where the father died suddenly, leaving the mother to continue with her family to Brunswick, where they arrived in March, 1854.
On March 14, 1876, she was united in marriage to A. J. Lynn, who preceded her in death December 18, 1931, after more than 55 years of married life. To this union six children were born, two of whom died in infancy; Those who survive are W. A. Lynn and Mrs. Ross Myers, of Brunswick; George A. and J. O. Lynn, of Kansas City, MO. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a half-sister, Mrs. Aaron Bachtel, Brunswick; and a half brother, John Flory, Marceline, MO.
Mrs. Lynn united with the Christian Church in Brunswick on April 17, 1894, and remained a true and loyal member to the end of life.
Funeral services were conducted at the Christian Church Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock by Rev. Morris L. Bailey, and interment was in the Elliott Grove Cemetery.
