DIES SITTING ON CHAIR

Suffering a sudden relapse on the day after his discharge from St. Joseph's Hospital, at Baltimore, where he was a patient for several weeks as the result of a fractured left leg, William Henry Bortner, 52 years old, expired this morning on a chair in the kitchen at the home of Harry Krug, at Lineboro.
Dr. L. U. Zech, the coroner, who was notified of the sudden death by Dr. R. R. Stoner, at Glenville, said that death was caused by pulmonary embolism, a blood clot which collected in the man's lung.
The deceased resided with Robert Dubs in Carroll County, Md., where he was formerly a farmer. In recent years he followed the carpenter trade.
The deceased, a widower, is survived by three children, Miles Bortner, of Lineboro; Mrs. Curvin M. Wolfgang, of Lineboro, and Mary Louise Bortner, of near Glen Rock; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Bortner, of Brodbeck, and these brothers and sisters: Clinton Bortner, of Glen Rock; Spencer Bortner, of near Glen Rock; Mrs. Claude Emig, of Brodbeck; Mrs. Urban Keiser, of Brodbeck, and Pius Bortner, of Brodbeck.
