PIUS BORTNER

Pius Bortner, 65, husband of Lettie C. Thoman Bortner, died at his home in Glenville today at 3:45 a.m.
A Glenville resident the past 17 years, he was employed 15 years at the P. H. Glatfelter Co., Spring Grove, retiring in September.
He was an army veteran of World War I and a member of the Austin L. Grove Post, American Legion, Glen Rock. He belonged to the Lutheran congregation of St. Jacob's (Stone) Church.
Besides his widow he leaves a brother, Spencer Bortner, Glen Rock, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock, with the Rev. Dr. K. S. Ehrhart, his pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Jacob's Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
