BORTNER – On June 10, 1959, at 8:10 p.m., at his home, Lineboro, Md., RD 1, Carroll County, Miles A. Bortner, husband of Cora May Haines Bortner, aged 62 years, 10 months, 19 days.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services Saturday, June 13, at 2 p.m. at Lazarus United Church of Christ, Lineboro, Md. Interment in adjoining cemetery.
Friends may call at the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock, Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church Saturday from 1:30 until time of service.

Miles A. Bortner, 62, Veteran Railroad Man, Succumbs Near Lineboro
Lineboro - Miles A. Bortner, an employee of Western Maryland railroad for 40 years, died at 8:10 o'clock last night at his home, Lineboro RD 1, near here. He was 62.
Mr. Bortner was a member of Lazarus United Church of Christ and also belonged to Hanover Camp 667, Woodmen of the World.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Cora May Haines Bortner; three children, Clyde H. Bortner, Seven Valleys; Mrs. Sterling Sterner, Lineboro RD, and M. Burnell Bortner, at home; eight grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Curvin Wolfgang, Lineboro, and Mrs. John Miller, Upperco.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Lazarus Church. The pastor, Rev. Harvey Schlichter, will officiate. Interment will be in the cemetery adjoining the church.
Arrangements are in charge of Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock.
