Larry C. Dick, 64, Martinsburg, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning at his residence.

He was born in Roaring Spring, son of Wilfred C. "Screech" Sr. and Helen L. (Wentz) Dick. He married Rosario R. Rodriguez May 26, 1973, in Roaring Spring. She died Oct. 15, 2005.

Surviving are two children: Julie Brumbaugh and husband, Mark, of Roaring Spring, and Carlo Dick and fiancee, Bobbi Bogel, of Martinsburg; five grandchildren: Marisa and Brandon Brumbaugh, Evan and Lydia Dick, and Nicolas Bogel; his mother of Ore Hill; six sisters: Mary Helsel of Martinsburg, Judy Hudson, Roberta Hoover and Susan Miller, all of Roaring Spring, Sheila Reasy of New Enterprise and Alice Hershberger of Duncansville; and a brother, Donald Dick of Martinsburg. He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Wilfred C. Dick Jr.; and a sister, Eva Elizabeth Dick-Bowers.

Larry retired from the U.S. Navy after 23 years of service and from the Roaring Spring Blank Book Company in 2006 after 16 years of service. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Ray-Camp VFW Post, Roaring Spring. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring, where a funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. by Pastor Millie Baker. Interment with military honors, performed by the Blair County Veteran's Honor Guard, will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring.
