Helen L. Dick, 90, a resident of The Village at Morrisons Cove, formerly of Ore Hill, died Wednesday morning at the home.
She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late George and Anna Wentz.
On March 22, 1944, she married Wilfred C. “Screech” Dick, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 1996.
Surviving are seven children: Judy Hudson of Roaring Spring, Mary (Jack) Helsel of Martinsburg, Donald T. Dick (fiancee JoAnne Sorge) of Ore Hill, Roberta (Dan) Emerick of Martinsburg, Sheila Reasy of Martinsburg, Alice Fischer (Mike) of Mount Airy, Md., and Susan Miller of Martinsburg; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three children: Larry Dick, Wilfred Dick Jr. and Eva Bowers; and a brother, Robert Wentz.
Helen attended Roaring Spring High School and was a member of Diehl’s Crossroads Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg. She enjoyed playing bingo, gardening and working outdoors.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at Diehl’s Crossroads Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg, Pastor Millie Baker officiating.
Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
