Loretta A. Woods, 77, of Monticello, died October 21, 1991 at Piatt County Nursing Home, Monticello. Funeral services will be held October 24 at St Philomena's Catholic Church, Monticello with burial in Monticello cemetery.

Mrs. Woods was born October 17, 1914 in St Paul, Kansas, d/o Chris and Cora Burnett Brogan. She married Archibald D. Woods July 10, 1943 in St Paul KS. He died May 14, 1957 in Monticello. Surviving is a son, Stephen E. of Bement; two daughters: Katie Heldkamp, Cisco; and Susan M. Courson, Monticello; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Ed Brogan of St Paul KS; four sisters: Margaret Richard, Mary Strasser, Vera Cleaver, all of St Paul KS; and Ethelene Corbett of Chanute KS. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son and three sisters.

Mrs. Woods was a receptionist for Dr. Ruppe, optometrist in Monticello for 15 years; member of St Philomena Catholic Church, Monticello; the Altar and Rosary Society of the church; and past chairperson of the Girl Scouts in Monticello. Memorials may be made to the Piatt County Nursing Home.
