Dovie Oliver, 70, formerly of Rector, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at her home in Jonesboro.
She was born Jan. 31, 1938, in Bertrand, Mo., and was the daughter of the late John and Cannie (Haney) Estes.

Her daughter, Lisa Oliver; brothers, John R., R.D., Leroy, Leborn, Leland and Robert Estes, and her sister, Ernestine Anderson, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Don Oliver, Kathy Olney, Trish Gurnsey, Keith Oliver, Kelly Oliver, James Oliver and Chris Oliver; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Oliver of Rector and Irene Simmons of Atkins, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 28, at Hoggard and Sons Chapel in Piggott with Topper Killough officiating. Burial was in Mitchell Cemetery at Greenway. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of arrangements.
