FRANKLIN - Mrs. Edith Buchanan, 76, of Franklin, passed away Monday, April 27,
1998, at her residence. She was born on Dec. 24, 1921, in Wolfe County, Ky., the
daughter of Tim and Emma Terrell. She was a charter member of Pennyroyal Baptist
Church. Mrs. Buchanan was employed for 12 years at Bethany Lutheran Village in
the housekeeping department. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in
1978 and a brother, George Terrell. She is survived by two sons, James E.
Buchanan of Carlisle and Wade Buchanan of Centerville; two daughters, Helen
Morton of Germantown and Betty Hughes of McArthur; four brothers, Boyce Terrell
of Hillsboro, Ola and Bob Terrell, both of Fairborn, and Timothy Wayne Terrell
of Miamisburg; four sisters, Mazie Hatton of Campton, Ky., Miranda Hyde of
Fairborn, Orpha Turner of Hillsboro and Alda Gilliam of Melbourne, Fla.; 11
grandchildren, Susan South, James Grant Buchanan, Penny Riley, Missy Wolfe, Carl
W. Hughes, Paula Ann York, Sue Ellen Lare, Mellisa Corien Buchanan, Jeremiah
Wade Buchanan, Lindsay Rae Morton and Jesse Douglas Morton; and 12
great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at
Unglesby-Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. Second St., Franklin, with the Revs.
Daniel Hughes and Bill Hall officiating. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
