Peter Eckenrode(4) married a second time on October 12th 1830 to Christina Fox brn. 1813; she died March 24th 1897. Peter, himself, died on January 12th 1870 and is buried in St. Michael's Cemetery Loretto, PA (LC-page 174). Peter Eckenrode Jr.(4) and Christina Fox's children were:

1. Peter Augustine Eckenrode(5) B:14 Dec 1831, D:21 Jun 1905. He married June 13th 1855 to Matilda Lantzy, daughter of Joseph and Ursula (Bitters) Lantzy. Her sister Mary Ann Lantzy married Peter's uncle Daniel(4).

2. Sarah Ann Eckenrode (5) B:05 Jan 1834, D:09 Jul 1893. She married Otto Biter.

3. Mary Ellen Eckenrode(5) B:27 Sep 1836, D:17 Apr 1921. No other info noted.

4. Amanda Lucinda Eckenrode(5) B:19 Sep 1838, D:15 Aug 1875. She married June 18th 1861 to John Itell.

10. Sylvester Albinus Eckenrode(5) B:31 Dec 1854, D:1933. Sylvester married about 1879 to Mary Trenkley, his third cousin, daughter of Magdalen (Keffer 4) Trenkly (Jacob Keffer 3, Mary Elizabeth Eckenroth, Jr. 2, John 1).

All children were listed as born in Loretto, Cambria Co., Pennsylvania, USA.

On April 1st 1825 Peter Eckenrode Jr.(4) probably with his father, Peter Eckenrode's(3), financial assistance, purchased 100 acre farm from his first cousin once removed; Christian and Magdalen Bever AKA: (Bieber/Belcr/Bevertz) (Margret Eckroth(2), John(1) (Cambria County Deed Book 3, page 184. This track of land called "Clover Hill" had originally been granted to Robert Owings/Owens and was located on the South west side of the "Proprietor's Manor". In accord with the agreement this tract became the homestead of Peter Eckenrode Sr.(3) and his son Peter Eckenrode Jr.(4) and the rest of the family. They were living there in the 1830 Census.

On April 12th 1827 the 100 acres had been reduced to 86 acres when Peter Eckenrode Jr.(4) sold 14 acres to Hugh Uhl (Deed Book 3, page 340) and on 15th of August 1837 to 85 acres when he sold 1 acre to his brother-in-law, Joseph Buck (Deed Book 5, page 152). Sometime during 1837 or early 1838 he sold 7 acres to ____McVey and Philip Noon, leaving a balance of 78 acres on on which Peter Eckenrode(3), Peter Eckenrode Jr.(4) and his two unmarried and sister (Daniel 4, Henry 4, and Susan 4) were living. On June 30th 1838, Peter Eckenrode Jr. (4) sold the remaining 78 acre farm to Daniel Eckenrode (4) and Henry Eckenrode(4), and moved, setting up his own independent household elsewere in the Township. (Deed Book 6, page 397) In 1837 or early 1838, Jacob Eckenrode(4) the second son of Peter Eckenrode(3), had moved with his wife to Perry County, Ohio.

In the 1840 Census (Cambria County, Allegheny Township, page 3) it shows Peter Eckenrode(3) as head of a houseold which included his wife Mary, sons, Daniel Eckenrode(4) and Henry Eckenrode(4) and daughter Susan Eckenrode(4). Although, Peter Eckenrode(3) was listed as "head" of the household, ownership/title to the property wsa in the name of his two sons, Daniel Eckenrode(4) and Henry Eckenrode(4). His son Peter Eckenrode Jr. (4) was listed as a seperate household, in the census, removed at some distance in Allegheny Township from that of his father, Peter Eckenrode(3).

In September 1850 (1850 Census Allegheny Township, Cambria County, page 50 and 53) Daniel Eckenrode(4) and Henry Eckenrode(4) were living in "dwelling #127" as "Family #130"; their father Peter Eckenrode(3) and his wife Mary in "dwelling #128" as "Family #131; their brother/ son-in-law, Joseph Buck, in "dwelling #130" as "Family #135" and their brother, Peter Eckenrode Jr.(4) in "dwelling #176" as "Family #181".
