PRINCEVILLE -- Paul A. Blank, 71, of Chicago, formerly of Princeville, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1997, at Illinois Masonic Hospital in Chicago, where he had been a patient since Sunday.
He was born Dec. 18, 1925, in Monica to Arthur E. and Tillie McIntyre Blank.
Surviving are one brother, Joe of Princeville; one sister, Mrs. Millard (Alice) Forney of Princeville; and many nieces and nephews. A brother, Wilbur, died the same day; he also was preceded in death by a brother, Edward.
He was a police officer for the city of Chicago for many years before retiring. He last worked as a process server for the Cook County Sheriff's Department.
A World War II Navy veteran, he served in Brazil.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. He donated his body to medical science. Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home in Princeville is in charge of arrangements.
