Henry Casner was the second of six children of Jonas Casner and Nancy Wright. An exact date of birth has yet to be established for Henry. The best determination is between 1802-1810. Henry married Jincy Jane Fields on 4-6-1822 in what is now Ray Co., MO.

Henry and his family lived intermittently between Missouri and Iowa. Henry and Jincy had twelve children. Henry died in March 1847 leaving Jincy to raise the children on her own. It is believed Henry was buried in the Red Rock Cemetery which is on a high bluff overlooking the Des Moines River in Marion County, IA.

A visit to the cemetery in June 2003 shows that a housing development is encroachining upon the cemetery. Many stones have been piled along the fence line of the cemetery and are covered in moss and brush and totally unreadable.
