Daughter of Frederick Edmond and Charlotte Ada (Struthers) Wetzler. She and Hubbard Day, Sr. had four children, including Hubbard Day, Jr..

"Alta 'Daisy' Margaret Day"
"Alta 'Daisy' Margaret Day, 95, a resident of The Dalles, died at her home on Tuesday, September 10, 2002.
Daisy was born February 6, 1907, in Fort Collins, Colorado, the youngest of eight children to Frederick Edmond and Charlotte Ada (Struthers) Wetzler and she grew up in Fort Collins.
She married Hubbard Day on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 1925, in Grants Pass, and they lived in Denver until the mid 1930's when they moved to Bend.
In 1949, they moved to The Dalles, where she worked for many years as a custodian for Dr. Hyde's medical office and The Dalles Eagles Lodge.
She was a member of The Dalles Fraternal Order of Eagles # 2126 and enjoyed her family, knitting, motorcycle riding and playing pool.
She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Day, The Dalles; grandchildren and their spouses, Bobbie and Robert Wojtecki, The Dalles; Larry Anderson, Tacoma; Dusti L. St. Claire, John L. and Vicky Day, and Randy H. and Dana Day, all of Portland, Jerry L. Day, The Dalles; Kathleen and Larry Ralls, Harrison, Ariz.; Lea M. Day, Edwin E. Day, Jr., all of Portland and Diane Day, The Dalles; 15 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hub, on Sept 20, 1991, and her sons, Hubbard Jr., Edwin and John Day Sr.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, at The Dalles Eagles Lodge.
Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory, Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Gorge, 751 Myrtle St., The Dalles, OR 97058 or Eagles Lodge Memorial Fund."
