Funeral services for Mr. William Odean Fisher, age 68, of Monroe (formerly of Columbia) were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 1995 from the Columbia chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Boone and Rev. Shane Duke officiating. Interment followed in the Fellowship Cemetery west of Columbia.

Mr. Fisher, a retired painter, died Thursday, June 22 at his residence following a brief illness.

William Odean Fisher was born on March 31, 1927 to the union of William Azor and Mattie Cumy Carr Fisher in Columbia, Louisiana. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include: two sons, Marlon O. Fisher and Roger Douglas Fisher, both of Baton Rouge; his daughter, Patricia Wheeler of Zachary, Louisiana; two brothers, Marshall Fisher and Odia Fisher, both of Columbia; four sisters, Viola Barnette of Columbia, Cordia Byrd of West Monroe, Ruby Kirby of Hebert, and Mattie Bannister of Columbia; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were: William Fisher, Melvin Braddock, Elvin Braddock, Richardo Herrera, Donnie Harris, and Donnie Williams.

Honorary pallbearers were: Bobby Brown and John Dickens.
