Mrs. Byrd was born October 4, 1922 in Caldwell Parish and died September 3, 2002 in Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Byrd was a retired greeter at K-Mart in Monroe, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Byrd.

Survivors include one son, Kevin Byrd; two sisters, Ruby Kirby, and Mattie Mae Bannister; one brother, Marshall Fisher, all of Columbia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Cloyce Wheeler, Phillip McDonald, Sylvester Carr, Keith Lee, Brian Crump, and Tom McCandlish.
