Thatcher--died at his home in Spring Creek Township Thursday, March 24, 1910 at 7:30 AM of old age. N. W. Thatcher aged 81 years 10 months and eight days.
The deceased was born in Pennsylvania, May 16, 1827 and has lived in Iowa for 50 years and in Mahaska County during the same period of time.
He was a carpenter by trade and while known about the County. He was a member of the Masons.
He leaves four sons and three daughters. They are B.R. Thatcher, B.M. Thatcher, W.H. Thatcher of this County. Willis Thatcher of Calo California, Emma Augustine of Dalton Iowa, Ellen Ferrell and Jennie Beal of Des Moines
Internment will be made at new Sharon but the time and place of this funeral will be announced later.
