OBIT:
William H. Thatcher, 69, of Spring Creek Township, died at his home Saturday evening, January 28, 1939, at 6:10 o'clock. Mr. Thatcher was ill for about 10 days.
He is survived by his wife Ella F. Thatcher; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Sears and Mrs. Harry Lisk and one son, Bryon Thatcher all of Oskaloosa; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Farrell of Des Moines and Mrs. Emma Augustine of Delta, and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Powers Funeral Home, Tuesday afternoon, January 31, 1939 at two o'clock with Rev. Edgar L. Knight, pastor of the First Christian Church in charge. Burial in Forest Cemetery.
