Theresa Harriett Pike was the third of the eight children born to Jerome Bonapart Pike & Ann Eliza Mattingly. She married John Gardner (brother of Gus Thomas Gardner who married Theresa's sister Minnie). John was a farmer in the Meade County area and he bought ash timber which was used for the manufacturing of baseball bats. They had 3 sons and 4 daughters: Lawrence, Dolores, Agnes, Herman, Mary, Joseph & Mary Catherine.
She died at 91 years of age of natural causes.
