Clifford L. Hayden, 75, of 5067 S. Onondaga Road, Nedrow, died Sunday at Community-General Hospital after a sudden illness. Mr. Hayden was a native of South Onondaga and was a life resident of the Syracuse area. He recently retired as owner and operator of Crawler Equipment Sales, Marcellus. He was a past highway superintendent for the town of Onondaga. He was a member of South Onondaga United Methodist Church, the Shriners, a 50-year member of Morningstar Lodge 524, F&AM, and a member and past president of Associated Independent Distributors. Surviving are a daughter, Sandra J. of Marcellus; two brothers, Francis of Crystal River, Fla., and Harold of Syracuse; a sister, Helen Walters of Nedrow; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at South Onondaga United Methodist Church, the Rev. Frederick Bailey officiating. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main St., Marcellus, with Masonic services at 8:30 p.m. Contributions may be made to South Onondaga United Methodist Church, 442 S. Onondaga Road, Nedrow 13120.
