Little Genevieve Adams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.P. Adams, was attacked by scarlet fever Monday morning and after a short struggle passed away at 7 o'clock Wednesday morning, May 3, 1899. She was born in July 1893 in Tennessee, and was 4 years and 9 months old. Some time ago the little one had an attack of spinal meningitis which left her somewhat weakened and she did not rally from the attack of the fever, but was unconscious most of the time until her death. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon without any public service. Rev. Cole officiated at the grave. A memorial service will be held later.
