Obit in The Correctionville News, 5 January 1950, page 1: Masonic rites were held here for Morrill D. Adams, 65, of 925 Cedar Ave., Long Beach, California, at the Wilson-Hull Funeral Home, Wednesday afternoon, January 4, 1950, at 2:30 with Rev. Arthur Dyson officiating. Interment was made in the family lot in the Correctionville Cemetery. Mr. Adams, a member of a pioneer Correctionville family, was struck by an automobile in Long Beach December 15 and never regained consciousness, passing away at the Long Beach Community Hospital December 24, 1949. The deceased was born in Correctionville November 21, 1884, the son of Lucius P. and Laura Morrill Adams. His father was a prominent contractor, former mayor and later engaged in the real estate, loan and insurance business. The family resided on the site of the present Glenn L. Laffer home. In 1917, four years after the death of his father, Mr. Adams and his mother moved to Long Beach. Mrs. Adams passed away there and is buried in the family lot here with her husband and a five-year-old daughter. Mr. Adams was the only surviving family member of his family and never married. He attended the local schools and is remembered for his happy, friendly qualities. The deceased was a prominent Mason being a member of Signal Lodge, AF&AM, and Scottish Rite at Long Beach. Masonic services were held there last Wednesday. The body was accompanied here by G.E. Conklin of Long Beach, close friend of the deceased and former Correctionville resident.
