Nov 30, 1977 - Carroll Daily Times - Edgar William Hoesing, 62, of 548 Parkview Drive, died late Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 29, of an acute heart attack at the parking lot of Denny's Lounge, Third and Carroll Streets, Dr. James Jensen, Carroll County medical examiner reported. Hoesing was sitting in his parked pick-up truck when he died. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Lawrence Church, Carroll with the Rev. Msgr. Henry B. Karhoff officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of the Sharp Funeral Home, Carroll. Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. The rosary will be recited Wednesday at 4 p.m. There will be a scriptural prayer service at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Hoesing, son of William and Anna Krogman Hoesing, was born on Nov. 29, 1915 at Halbur. He spent his manhood in the Halbur area and in 1934, he moved with his parents to
Carroll. His marriage to Hilda Olerich took place in 1944 at St. Lawrence Church, in Carroll. He worked as a plumber for the Quinn Plumbing and Heating Company, Drees Plumbing and Heating Company, and the Frank Plumbing and Heating Company in Carroll, until 1961 when he started his own business known as the Hoesing Plumbing and Heating Company. He was a member of St. Lawrence Church and the St. Lawrence Mens Club.

Survivors are two sons; Dennis of Des Moines and William of Carroll; a daughter, Mrs. Mike (Kathy) Hutchinson of Orlando, Fla; and two grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Lawrence of Mapleton and Julius of Battle Creek, Mich; and three sisters, Mrs. Astmus (Christine) Bishop of Carroll, Mrs. Jessie White of Omaha, Neb., and Mrs. Matt (Eleanor) Kuker of Carroll. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
