Funeral Services For Alvin Guffee Are Held Sunday

Funeral services for Alvin Guffee were at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Pitcher Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Bruce Ainsworth, Cordell, officiating. Burial was in the Fort Cobb cemetery.

Guffee, a former Carnegie resident for many years, was killed in a car wreck near Gentry, Ark. He had been living at Gentry for some time and was only four miles from home when his car and another collided. He was alone in his car at the time of the accident. He was 52 years, four months and 19 days old when he died.

Guffee was a cafe worker here for many years.

He is survived by one daughter, Emma Lena Guffee, Hobart; his father, Henry Guffee, Carnegie; a brother, Calvin Guffee, Hydro; and three sisters, Mrs. C.D. Irvin, Gotebo, Mrs. A.M. Darrow, Oklahoma City, and Mrs. George Hill, Pensacola, Fla.
