Funeral services for Mrs. Charlie Irvin were held Monday afternoon, August 5, 1968 at Sharon Baptist Church, Lake Valley, with Rev. Walter Williams, pastor, officiating.
Nettie Roena Irvin was born May 18, 1905 at Cloud Chief, Oklahoma and died Friday, August 2, 1968 in the home of her daughter after an illness of several weeks.
She was a long-time resident of the Gotebo community.
Among her survivors are her husband, C.D. Irvin of Gotebo; two daughters, Mrs. Allen (Lillie) Crocker of Gotebo and Mrs. Chilton (Mary Ruth) Jolley of Chickasha; five sons, C. W. and Claudie Irvin of Winfield, Kansas; Andrew of Huntsville, Texas; and Marion and Robert of Gotebo; her father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. (John) Henry Guffee of Gotebo; two sisters, Mrs. Alta Hill of Pensacola, Florida; and Mrs. Jack (Ellen) Darrow of Choctaw; one brother Calvin Guffee of Gotebo; and 25 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Grady Cockreham, Bud Sampley, Doyle Hulett, Dennis Reinschmidt, Lloyd Fields, Jim Shepherd.
Interment was in Sharon Cemetery.
