Ransom -- Catherine Kisslinger, 88, died Feb. 7, 1989, at her home at Ransom. Born Catherine Flax May 5, 1900, at Austria, she married Herman Kisslinger Oct. 17, 1921, at Ransom. He died in August 1974.

A homemaker, she was a resident of Ransom most of her life. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Ransom.

Survivors: sons, Ambrose, Ransom, John, Brownell, Paul, Larned, Joe, Spokane, Wash.; daughters, Betty Casey and Frances Casey, both of McCracken, Ann Pfannenstiel, Hutchinson, Rosie Smith, Wichita, Regina Schuster, WaKeeney, Dorothy Healy, Flagstaff, Ariz., Bernice Blakely, Beeler; brothers, William Flax, Ness City, Rudolph Flax, WaKeeney; sister, Regina Augustine, Salina; 41 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.

Rosary will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Ransom. Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, Father Tom Wagner. Burial will be in Ransom Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City.
