Born near Arnold March 10, 1937, he had spent his adult life as a farmer, and was employed at the Ransom Farmers Coop.
He was a member of the St. Aloysius Church, and the Knights of Columbus of Ransom, and was a veteran and member of the American Legion.
Funeral services were held from the church in Ransom Tuesday morning, July 22, with the pastor, Msgr. George Stewart as celebrant.
Interment was in the St. Aloysius Cemetery at Ransom with Fitzgeralds in charge.
Survivors include: his father, Joe Flax of Ransom; brothers, Joe I. and Albert Flax of Arnold, Paul Flax of Salina, and Francis Flax of Ransom; sisters, Mrs. Earl (Mary) Prather of Hoisington, Mrs. Frank (Martha) Peschka of Salina, Sister Doris Marie Flax of Ransom and Catherine Flax of Chicago, Ill.; other relatives and friends.
Memorials are suggested to the Grisell Memorial Hospital in Ransom.
