Arrie A was the oldest of nine children born to John Lee Carpenter and Lou Vici Davis. Only six, all daughters, survived to adulthood, Arrie A, Sarah Anna, Allie Myrtle who was my grandmother, Nola Martha Mae, Willie Opal, and Jessie Marie.

Arrie married Jasper Edward Baker September 23, 1906 in Fannin County, Texas. She was the mother of four daughters, Dorothy Lee, Esther Mae, Audrey Mona, Bertha Paulyn, and one son Jasper N.

Arrie's grave is unmarked.
