He died Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Overton Brooks V.A. Hospital after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's. He was born January 8, 1922, in Bethany, Louisiana. Tommie was a resident of Shreveport, and a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Greenwood, Louisiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents Elbert and Mary Warren, and all of his sisters and brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Herreice B. Warren, children; Charles Warren, Paulette Wright, Howard Warren (Heike), Tommie Warren Jr. of Shreveport, Wendy Ross (Robert) of Grand Prairie, TX, Brenda Allison of Killeen, TX, Karen Johnson (Howard) of DeSoto, TX, Karl Warren of Arlington, TX., John Warren (Patrice) of Grand Prairie, TX., and Andrew Warren of Grand Prairie, TX., 13 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
