Bio

My family is Johnson & Rhodes and related families in and around Bienville Parish, LA. I am posting obituaries and family links to those buried in Mount Lebanon Cemetery.

Please use the Edit tab for updates & transfer requests.
In most cases, transfer requests from family members will be honored.

MANAGEMENT: I prefer to manage only those memorials with whom I have a connection. For this reason, I am currently in the process of transferring non-family memorials to Find a Grave Manager #8. I do this so family members and researchers can easily accept management if they so desire.

PLEASE DO NOT request management of any of my non-family memorials from FaG #8 unless you have a connection to that family. Please leave them there for a family member!

OBITUARIES: I generally list the survivors when entering an obit from another website (newspapers, funeral homes, etc). If the obit is a picture from Newspapers.com or other source, I post the entire picture, including survivors.

When Ancestry took over Find a Grave, I asked Ancestry about this – I was told that listing complete obituaries, including survivors, is permitted, unless a family member requests that they be omitted. I have had only one such request in over 12 years.

CENTURIES MEMORIAL PARK in Shreveport LA: I have entered over 7,000 memorials in this cemetery from a transcription done in the late 1990s. I have since transferred most of these memorials to FaG #8 (see above). My friend J McMenis has added memorials from 2000 – 2020; he has since transferred them to FaG #8, for the same reason.

Currently, J McMenis and I are working together as Grave Finder2022 (#51245791) to add current memorials (mainly to Centuries) with marker photos, obits, links, etc, when available. After the three-month waiting period, we are then transferring non-family memorials to FaG #8 (see above).

SUCCESSION: When I am no longer able to manage my memorials, I have asked FaG to assign them to my cousin Sandra Woods (S. Woods #47459223).
