Bessie Virginia Catlett Delawder Pitcock of Stephens City,Va was born Oct.3,1925 in Gore,Va., the daughter of Harry Edward Catlett & Rosie Virginia (Dunlap) Catlett.
Bessie worked at a sewing factory, at National Fruit Products Co., and as a Home Health Aide.
She is survived by a son, Jerry F. Delawder; 3 grandchildren, Bessie "Marada" Delawder, Jerry F. Delawder,Jr., & Kevin Delawder; 4 great grandchildren; a sister, Arlene Kay Catlett Miller Cowgill of Paw Paw,WV; 3 brothers, James Catlett of Paw Paw, WV, William Catlett & Donald Catlett both of Winchester,Va.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles "Homer" Delawder; 2nd husband, Richard Pitcock; a son, Terry Lane"Timmy" Delawder; a sister, Sylvia May Catlett; and 4 brothers, Curtis Barria Catlett, Richard Eugene (Gene, Jerry)Catlett, Harry Elwood Catlett, & Ralph Lee Catlett; paternal grandparents, Dan & Isabelle (Slonaker) Catlett; maternal grandparents, Jerry Smith Dunlap & Ida E.(Palmer) Dunlap.

Bessie struggled for many years battling Lupus. She died Feb.15,2006 at her home.

Private arrangements by Jones Funeral Home.
Memorial Service for the family was held at her sister's home in Paw Paw,WV.
Her ashes rest here at Bethel Cemetery with her beloved first husband, Homer, and son, Terry.
