Benjamin Preston Ramsey was born at Mountain View, Stone County, Arkansas on November 3, 1876 to John Preston and Paulina Philpot Ramsey. Benjamin left for Texas as soon as he was able and met Annie Maude Kelso in Bartlett and married her. The family moved to Oklahoma in the early 1900's and it was there that Ben died under mysterious circumstances in 9 April 1915 from smoke inhalation three days after a fire near Norman Oklahoma. ( The family was living at Cleveland, Oklahoma). The courthouse in Norman also burned down shortly after this, taking with it any records of his death. -per email received
