Her husband was Benjamin Preston Ramsey, born at Mountain View, Stone County, Arkansas on November 3, 1876 and who died under mysterious circumstances from smoke inhalation three days after a fire near Norman Oklahoma, in 9 April 1915. ( The family was living at Cleveland, Oklahoma). The courthouse in Norman also burned down shortly after this, taking with it any records of his death.

Rites Today For Mrs. B.P. Ramsey
Mrs. B.P. Ramsey, 72, who had lived in this section for 35 years, died suddenly Wednesday morning at her home on the Straws Mill Road. Funeral rites, conducted by the Rev. W. B. Holmes Jr., will be held at 2 p.m. Today at the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the City Cemetery, with Scott's in charge.
Mrs. Ramsey, who was Miss Annie Maud Kelso, was a native of Bell County, but moved to Gatesville in December 1914. Her husband had died in April of that year. Survivors include six daughter's, Mrs H.E. Clemons of Gatesville, Mrs. J.B. Kemp of Pidcoke, Mrs. W.L. Nardin of Telluride, Colo., Mrs. Irene Bradford of Gatesville, Mrs. H.L Choat of Temple, Mrs. Van Chamber's of Omaha, Neb.; one son, Russell Ramsey of Gatesville; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 3 sisters, Miss Lela Kelso of Gatesville, Mrs. Marvin Williamson of Lampasas, and Mrs. F. B. Campbell of Gatesville; and 4 brothers, Walter Kelso of Edcouch, Frank Kelso of Gatesville, P.G. Kelso of Edcouch, and Jim Kelso of Dallas.
