Services for Rachel Loraine Fincher Hughes, 98, Canton, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Eubank Funeral Home chapel, Canton, with the Revs. Glenn Goodson and Craig Locke officiating.

Burial will be in Starr Cemetery, Van Zandt County.

Mrs. Hughes died Oct. 31, 2008, in Canton.

She was born May 15, 1910, in Canton to the late Jesse Gray and Rosa Ann Cope Bailey. She grew up in the Starr community, lived in Beaumont for 15 years and then returned to Canton. She was co-owner/operator of Fincher's Dairy Maiden for a number of years, and was a member of Willow Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond Fincher, Clyde Chaney and Brady Hughes; daughters, Eloise Cormier and Daphine Clemments; and son, Truman Fincher.

Survivors include daughters, Fairrie Cox, Canton, and Ima Todora, Orange; 15 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
