Elizabeth spent some time working for the Masonic Home of Virginia, located on Nine Mile Road in Henrico County, Virginia, during the 1960's. It was an orphanage at the time as well as a home for the elderly. While there, she was the house mother for a group of young boys and was able to keep an eye on her mother-in-law, Minnie Theodosia Brazington Alexander. Elizabeth married first, Abraham Shiver Alexander, who died in 1941 and later married Mark Eubank and lived out the rest of her life in the Charlottsville area of Virginia.
