Edrodean "Edo" Brister, 75, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas following a prolonged illness.

Born July 28, 1933 in Ruth, Mississippi, he was the youngest of 14 children of Milton and Carrie (Boyd) Brister. At the age of 17, he moved to Wyoming where he worked in the oilfield for several years.

On Feb. 28, 1963, he married Verna Levon "Bonnie" Hughes in Gillette, Wyo. Living in Rawlins, they owned and operated E & B Used Cars for 18 years. In 1981, they moved to Thermopolis where Edro continued his business until his death.

He loved talking to people and never met a stranger. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Thermopolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Bonnie in 2002; and 10 siblings.

Edro is survived by his son Eddie and family of Thermopolis; daughters Shirley Morgan and family of Thomaston, Ga. and Lisa Eldridge and family of Monticello, Miss.; brother James Brister of Slidell, La.; two sisters Ruby Dalton of Monticello and Deaver Alexander of Ruth; and several grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Thermopolis.
