Larry Lee Brunkenhoefer, 58, of Giddings, Texas, passed away on Tuesday October 21, 2008 in LaGrange. Larry was born December 25, 1949, in Hallettsville, Texas to Mason and Emily (Mikes) Brunkenhoefer. On July 12, 1976, he was united in marriage to Van Marie in Halletsville, Texas. They have lived in Giddings for a number of years. Larry was a electrician in Giddings.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Mason; daughter, Sheryl Ann Brunkenhoefer; two brothers, Donald and Roy Brunkenhoefer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Van Marie, of Giddings; his sons, Daniel and Jason Brunkenhoefer of Giddings; daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Michael Howell of Elgin, Amanda and Joey Vanderharr of Kansas, his grandchildren, Sheryl Lynn Vanderharr, and Sam Allen Howell. He is also survived by sisters, Marlene Sorenson of Lexington, Darlene Antrich of Sheridan, Texas, Shirley Tobola of Giddings, and multiple extended family.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2008 in the Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home Chapel with Father Jim Ohnhause officiating. Burial followed in the Giddings City Cemetery. The family has suggested in lieu of usual remembrances that donations be to the charity of your choice.
