FATHER AND TWO SONS REGISTER FOR SERVICE
ONTARIO, Sept. 12. - A father and two sons registering for the selective draft at the same time was one of the peculiar cases brought to light here today at a registration station at Chaffey High School.
C. M. Rubidoux, 426 East Park street, and his sons, Frank and Percy Rubidoux, all presented themselves for registration under the provisions of the new man-power law.
Mr. Rubidoux, Sr., will be 45 next Christmas eve; Frank Rubidoux was 20 on July 24, last, while Percy was 18 on March 31, last. A third son, Frank, age 23, is already in the Army.

According to his Sep. 12, 1918 WWI Draft registration card, 44 yr. old Christopher "Marcelino" Rubidoux, a self-employed teamster, b. Dec. 25, 1874, was living at 426 East Park in Ontario, San Bernardino county, CA. with his wife, Dolores Rubidoux.
*Note: He signed his name "Christopher M. - NOT Christopher Marcelino - so the clerk taking down his information may have misheard his middle name.
Christopher was described as being of medium height and build, with brown eyes, black hair and nothing that would physically disqualify him from serving in the military.

According to the CDI (CA. Death Index), Christopher's middle name was Maxmillian.
He was born Dec. 25, 1873 in CA. and d. Jan. 16, 1958 in San Bernardino county, CA. His mother's maiden name was Trujillo.

ONTARIO - A member of one of the Southland's earliest families, Christobal (Cristobal) M. Rubidoux, 84, 945 E. State St., died yesterday at San Antonio Community Hospital after a year's illness. He has been a resident of Ontario for more than half his life.
Rubidoux was born in Riverside in 1874 to parents who were also natives of the settlement. Until his retirement he was employed as a cement finisher.
Surviving Rubidoux are the widow, Delores Rubidoux; five sons, Ernest of Ontario, Frank of Anaheim, Percy of Fullerton, Ben of El Cajon and George of Vista; 25 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be said tonight at 8, at the memorial chapel, 127 W. C St. Requiem mass is to be celebrated tomorrow, 8:15 a.m. by the Rev. William J. Casey at St. George's Catholic Church, of which Rubidoux was a member. Interment will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
