Alice M. Stinger, 83, of Cleveland died Sunday at home.


Born in Oneida, she lived in Cleveland for 66 years. She retired in 1979 as a cafeteria manager at Cleveland Elementary School. She was a member of Cleveland United Methodist Church and United Methodist Church Women, Promote Rebekah Lodge 181 in Cleveland and the Northshore Senior Citizens.

Her husband, Arden, died in 1991. A son, Arden Jr., died in 1990.


Survivors: Three daughters, Cherie Guppy of West Monroe, Nancy Griesmyer of Cleveland and Gail Whitney of Bernhards Bay; two sisters, Florence Haralson of Cottonwood, Ariz., and Charlotte Letson of Whitesboro; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.


Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday in Cleveland United Methodist Church. Burial, Maple Flats Cemetery, Cleveland. Calling hours, 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Watson Funeral Home, 631 S. Main St., Central Square.
