McGARRIGLE, JAMES MATTHEW "JIMMY" - Peacefully, at the Passamaquoddy Lodge, in St. Andrews, NB on January 31, 2005, Mr. James Matthew McGarrigle, husband of the late Sarah M. "Maddie" (Stewart) McGarrigle, formerly of Blacks Harbour, NB. Born in St. George, NB on November 22, 1926, he was a son of the late James M. and Seretha (Leavitt) McGarrigle. A loving father, grandfather and brother, he is survived by one son, George (Debbie) of Pennfield; one daughter, Syritha McGarrigle of Blacks Harbour; two grandchildren, Brent and Alisha McGarrigle; two great-grandchildren, Hillary and Kyle; four brothers, Kenny (Wanita), Gerald McGarrigle, all of Blacks Harbour, Everett (Thelma) of Tracadie, and Wesley (Pam) of St. Stephen; three sisters, Florence Leavitt of Back Bay, Doris Nason of St. George and Emma Maillet of Blacks Harbour; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased besides his wife and parents, by a grandson, Troy McGarrigle; two sisters, Mary Walsh and Linda Matheson; two brothers, Bill and Lorne McGarrigle. James was a labourer/machine operator for Connors Bros. Ltd., Can & Cover Division, for over 30 years prior to his retirement. He was a quiet man who enjoyed TV and meeting his friends at the St. George Mall. Interment at Pennfield Rural Cemetery.
