President of the New Brunswick Genealogical Society and past Board Member/Volunteer with the Charlotte County Archives.
I am proudly located in Charlotte County, in the Canadian province of New Brunswick. Active in local history with particular interest in the Charlotte County communities of Blacks Harbour and St. George. I have been involved with family genealogy for two decades with my primary focus on the surnames of GAUDET, McGARRIGLE, BRADFORD, BELLIVEAU, LEAVITT, BURRELL, PROCTOR. My own lineage is made up of french Acadian, Irish, Mi'kmaq Native/Metis and American Loyalist. In June 2009, I completed a genealogical trip to Ulster, Ireland. I am currently engaged in detailed genealogical surveys of six local cemeteries and updating burials in not only Charlotte County but also York & Kings Counties in New Brunswick, Digby County in Nova Scotia and Washington County, Maine.
As of 2021, I am active with a number of projects with Heritage Charlotte, such as "TreeRoots" a family tree of Charlotte County, The Charlotte County Burial/Interment Database (now with over 46,000+ entries) and The Charlotte County Obituary Collection (over 1,500 pages!) From these two projects I have compiled a large volume of headstone photographs and genealogical data for nearly all of the cemeteries in Charlotte County.
