McGARRIGLE, KENNETH CHARLES - 1937-2011 - Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on June 15, 2011, Mr. Kenneth Charles McGarrigle, husband of Mrs. Waunita (Leavitt) McGarrigle of Blacks Harbour NB. Born at Back Bay NB on June 21, 1937, he was a son of the late James and Seretha (Leavitt) McGarrigle. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, in addition to his wife Waunita, he is survived by two daughters; Amanda (Trevor) Johnston and Shelby McGarrigle both of Blacks Harbour NB, one grandson, Gabriel Johnston, two brothers; Gerald McGarrigle of Blacks Harbour NB and Wesley (Pam) McGarrigle of St. Stephen NB, one sister, Emma Maillet of Blacks Harbour NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Kenny was predeceased by his brothers; William, Lorne, James Jr. and Everett and by his sisters; Mary Walsh, Linda Matheson, Florence Leavitt and Doris Nason. Prior to his retirement Kenny worked as a labourer for Connors Bros. for 50 years in Blacks Harbour NB. He was an avid Baseball fan who loved to watch his favourite team, the Boston Red Sox. In his leisure time, Kenny found great joy in being surrounded by his family. As keeping with Kenny’s request, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at the Bocabec Community Cemetery, Bocabec NB on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at 3:30 pm with Rev. Andrew Regich officiating. In Kenny’s memory, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or to the NB Lung Association would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium, 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB.
